Art. Motion.
Obsession.
The private museum of
Evangelos Pistiolis
A dialogue between contemporary art,
automotive design and the art of precision.
Stillness. With the force of motion.
Under a canopy of red light, the automobile takes the stage. A curve, a reflection, the poise of a wheel: each detail invites a slower, closer look. Here, engineering has a sculptural presence, and the room becomes part of the encounter.
A dialogue of eras.
The immediacy of red bodywork meets the quiet presence of a classic silhouette beyond. Carefully framed views reveal a collection through contrasts of line, light and character.

The instinct
to look closer.
A great collection begins with attention. To a line that changes the way we see. To an engine whose character is unmistakable. To a mechanism that gives time a physical presence.
The world assembled by Evangelos Pistiolis brings these experiences into conversation. Contemporary artworks sit within the same imaginative landscape as rare cars, motorcycles and fine watches. Different disciplines meet through an appreciation of invention, proportion and craft.
This presentation explores the private collection and the museum vision reported in the press. Public visiting arrangements have not been announced here.
01 / Art · A way of seeing
A collection of voices.
A singular point of view.
Some works hold a room.
Others change a conversation.
Acquired through auctions and major international exhibitions, the collection reflects an engagement with contemporary art that has developed over time. Newmoney’s 2022 account describes more than 400 works and traces an early influence to his friendship with shipowner and collector George Economou.
The January 2026 Mononews interview brings the story into the collector’s own surroundings, referring to Picasso, Warhol and Banksy, and to a Roy Lichtenstein as his first contemporary-art acquisition.
The pleasure of such a collection lies in encounters rather than rankings: the tension between a familiar image and an unexpected idea, the shift from observation to reflection, the discovery of another visual language.

02 / Motion · Engineering as expression
The sculpture
of speed.
A machine can be precise.
And profoundly emotional.
Around 50 Ferrari feature in the January 2026 Mononews profile, including exceptionally rare examples described as having no kilometres on their odometers. An earlier Newmoney account recorded a smaller collection in 2022, revealing how the automotive story has continued to evolve.
A Ferrari carries more than the promise of performance. Its bodywork, mechanical architecture and sound bring design and engineering into a single experience. Seen through a collector’s eye, the car becomes a record of the ideas and ambitions of its era.
Porsche and Ducati extend that conversation across other distinctive traditions of automotive and motorcycle design. Together, they express a fascination with the intelligence of a machine: how form answers a function, and how that answer acquires character.
03 / Time · Precision at an intimate scale
The universe
on a wrist.
Fine watchmaking brings the fascination with engineering to a different scale. Instead of a vehicle’s expansive movement, a watch offers the concentrated choreography of a mechanism designed to measure the passing moment.
Rolex and other fine watches form part of the collecting interests described for this private world.
What makes a watch compelling reaches beyond its price. Proportion, finishing, material, mechanical ingenuity and the way an object inhabits everyday life all contribute to its character.
Within the wider collection, watchmaking becomes a quiet counterpart to the drama of the automobile and the expressive freedom of art: another way of asking how human skill can turn an object into something enduring.
04 / Place · A setting for a vision
Kantza.
A world within
a world.
In June 2022, Newmoney reported a plan to transform the former Lakis Gavalas property in Kantza into a private museum dedicated to contemporary art and historic Ferrari. The ambition brought architecture, collecting and the experience of space into the same project.
The January 2026 Mononews visit describes the Kantza premises and the encounter with the art and car collections. Its interview offers a direct window into this personal environment.
The museum is presented here as a private collection and a cultural vision. Opening dates, admission, tours and booking are not offered on this page.
A museum’s deepest promise is the possibility of encounter: that an object might be seen with fresh attention, and that the care with which it has been collected might become a story worth sharing.
